We are coming to the end of another bank holiday weekend, things as always are crazy.

The market is abuzz with activity, particularly on bank holidays. The hustling and the bustling of crowds, the lively vibe, sounds of laughter and conversation all converging to create an atmosphere of enjoyment and energy, heightened by the summer sun as people are enjoying the sunny days.

Smiles on faces and the overhanging feeling of glee that’s in the air, it’s days like today that bring us together as a community and what makes our fair city so amazing.

For those who participated in the marathon, congratulations on this amazing feat. I'm sure all of you would put me to shame!

As it is now officially summer and the sun has been splitting the stones. It gets a little above 15°C us Irish come out in full force. With a hint of sun, the shorts and flip-flops come out. Everyone rushes to gain full advantage of the rarity that is a warm summer weekend in Ireland.

While you are out and about I’m sure that ice cream will be at the forefront of your mind. It sure is in mine.

Nothing is more gratifying than a cool ice cream on a sunshine day.
