Better than Electric Picnic

Welcome to the Sweet Spot

The Friday edition.

We come towards the end of the summer.

With the beginning of the Electric Picnic weekend.

It signals the end of the summer months.

Today, we are not here to talk about that.

If you are going, enjoy it.

If not, we have our own electric picnic here in Cork.

The Cork on a Fork festival is here.

Brochure below.

I’ll pick a few of my favourites.

First, the Franciscan Well is putting on an event that will start at the Liberty Bar on Saturday at 7 p.m. sharp.

Live bands and this 2-hour event will be an evening of “ceol agus craic.”

That's an excellent reason to get out and try what Cork has to offer.

Leave the kids at home and enjoy an evening on the town.

The Fran Well is a local brewery bringing many different cork-made beers.

So why not enjoy this free event?

How to make a herbal remedy.

The BlackRock herbal clinic is doing a workshop in the Douglas community garden.

Meet at the garden or park at 2 pm on Sunday if interested.

Here, you can learn how to make natural remedies to what ails you.

The ability to get the natural effects of what god has given us is a great way to learn what nature gives us without asking for anything in return.

We are natural and have grown with the world around us.

Only in the last 300 years have we created technology to help us.

Some natural cures work better for the body as it grows with us.

Always go to a doctor if necessary.

Technology is an advancement that has been great for us as a species.

It's just handy to have as an alternative and quite interesting how things used to be done.

This has run longer than I intended.

Anyway, I hope you get around to this resource to have a look and enjoy the festivities.

Food is a deep part of our lives and is essential to us as people and families.

Nothing would be more tiresome than eating and drinking if God had not made them a pleasure as well as a necessity.

Get out and about.

Enjoy the weekend.

Stay Sweet
