Hold on, wait a minute.

Its all going a bit festive

Welcome to the Sweet Spot

The Friday edition.

The school year has returned with a vengeance.

I am sure many happy parents are enjoying some extra free time.

The time we have together can be both enjoyable and draining.

For our times together we have many enjoyable events around our city this weekend.

Let’s start with the Pitch’d circus and street festival.

Rollerblade is a pop-punk juggling act.

A high-octane edge-of-your-seat performance.

Starting on the 31st at 8 pm at the Firkin Crane.

And something for the kids: a little street festival is happening on Douglas Street.

more on that later…

the pop-up circus disco starts at noon on Sunday.

It’s a chance to try out some of the tricks of the trade.

It's a long time ago when the thoughts of the kids running away with the circus are fond memories.

It doesn't seem to be such a worry any more.

Have we lost our sense of adventure?

If not, pop down to Douglas Street and get involved.

I'll link the programme for the Pitch'd festival below if anyone would like to have a look.

A lot is going on around the city.

As well as the Pitch’d festival, a day-long festivities are happening throughout Douglas Street.

Autumn Fest on Douglas Street is the place to be.

Lastly, we will travel outside the city to the beautiful location of West Cork.

All the way to Cape Clear Island.

Right into the edge of the southern area.

To the Irish-speaking island.

We have a great Irish tradition of being around the hearth.

Telling Stories.

The Cape Clear Storytelling Festival is the place to be if you enjoy a good story.

This is a fantastic opportunity if you find yourself at a loose end.

Anyway, hit the picture above if you want to check it out.

That's enough to sink your teeth into this weekend.

I hope the weather keeps up.

Get some vitamin D before the winter sets in.

Get out and about enjoy the time.

For another week.

Stay Sweet
