You're having a laugh

Corkonian steals the show

Welcome back to the Sweet spot.

This is the Monday check-in.

“The only way to get rid of a temptation is to yield to it. Resist it, and your soul grows sick with longing for the things it has forbidden to itself, with desire for what its monstrous laws have made monstrous and unlawful.”

Oscar Wilde

A man famous for his eccentric life and views. That doesn’t make it any less accurate.

We all have those little urges, and temptations that we want.

That pops up in our day-to-day life.

Sometimes, we have got to enjoy the moment.

Life is shorter than we know. Make the most of each and every day.

Cork's own Cian Ducrot played in Musgrave Park on Friday night.

With an unbelievable turnout of 15,000 people for this talented young Corkonion. From all accounts it was a night that many will remember for the rest of their lives.

Here’s a little peak behind the cloche.

Followed by the Wolfe Tones, it was a serious set of concerts in Cork this weekend.

This is the 60th-anniversary concert for the Wolfe Tones.

The rough-and-ready lads are here for a night of entertainment and craic, brought to the forefront by their raw style and unique take on Irish rebel music.

If you went, let us know how it was…

Lastly, if you are a fan of laughing.

Ok, who isn’t a fan of laughter?

“I don’t trust anyone who doesn’t laugh.”

Maya Angelou

There is no cure for sadness like laughter.

Dylan Moran was at City Limits comedy club.

Actor and comedian who starred in Black Books, the comedy TV series, is known for being a bit eccentric but also a brilliant performer on stage if that's your thing.

What did you get up to for the weekend? Did you make it to Taylor in Dublin?

Please feel free to share so we can chat about what's closest to your heart.

As always stay Sweet.
